Job summary

GXO Logistics in Northampton is seeking an HR Advisor to partner with operational leaders, delivering a proactive HR service across warehousing and transport operations. Based on-site, you'll support employee relations, performance, and people initiatives while building strong stakeholder relationships.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours), Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00, with a competitive salary up to £35,000 and a benefits package including pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure, in a fast-moving environment.
• Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice, including trade unions.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified (or working towards CIPD qualification).

Responsibilities

• Providing expert HR advise to managers on employee relations, performance, and people management.
• Managing end-to-end absence, disciplinary, grievance, and long-term sickness cases.
• Walking the floor to build relationships and ensure a visible, approachable HR presence.
• Supporting the GXO teams in proactively identifying and developing employee engagement.
• Analysing HR data and supporting the delivery of the site people plan and broader HR strategy.

Job description

Join us as our HR Advisor and you'll be a key partner to operational leaders across our Northampton site(Pineham), delivering a proactive and hands-on HR Service across warehouse and transport operations. You'll play a pivotal role in driving engagement, shaping culture, and supporting both people and performance.

This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week contracted. Based on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.
