Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited in Manchester is seeking a People Advisor to support managers with HR issues, deliver practical advice, and help create a positive employee experience during change and day-to-day operations.

You will handle employee relations, onboarding, performance reviews, policy updates, and recruitment support, leveraging CIPD Level 5 expertise and UK employment law knowledge to drive compliant, people-focused decisions.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent HR experience).
  • Previous HR generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance concerns.
  • Providing practical, straightforward HR advice and helping managers make confident people decisions.
  • Supporting organisational change projects and wider people initiatives.
  • Coordinating key HR activities, including on-boarding, performance reviews, and exit interviews.
  • Reviewing and updating HR policies to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
  • Using people data and insights to identify trends and support business decisions.
  • Assisting with recruitment activities and HR compliance processes.
  • Getting involved in engagement, well-being, and development initiatives that help employees thrive.

People Advisor

Location: Manchester (Hybrid 2 days in office / 3 days from home) Salary: Up to £40,000 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Benefits: Hybrid working, flexible working, on-site parking

As a People Advisor, you'll be the go-to person for managers, providing hands-on HR support and guidance across a variety of people matters. You'll enjoy building strong relationships, solving problems, and helping create a positive employee experience from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing
