Job description

Ideal Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor on a permanent basis for one of our well-established clients in the Erdington area.

About You
  • A proven track record within an HR Advisor role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confidence in managing ER cases from start to finish
  • Must hold a full driving license and be able to travel across the country to support ER or recruitment requirements as needed
  • Dedication, proactive attitude, and ability to think outside the box in various situations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation
  • Ability to work under pressure
Employee Relations
  • Chairing and advising on ER cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievances, flexible working applications, and more
  • Confidence in decision-making
  • Involvement in issuing outcomes up to and including dismissals
  • Preparing invite and outcome letters
  • Leading meetings such as investigations, welfare, and return-to-work meetings
  • Note-taking during meetings when the manager chairs
  • Updating and creating policies and procedures
  • Involvement in redundancies
General Duties
  • Supporting and managing the probation process, liaising with managers, updating records, and sending outcome letters
  • Maintaining HR systems to ensure data accuracy
  • Recording data and creating Excel spreadsheets
  • Developing job descriptions and person specifications
  • Supporting in preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, and sifting CVs, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies
  • Supporting the production and issuance of offer letters and employee contracts
  • Liaising with Hiring Managers for vacancies in Head Office and Stores
  • Introducing new employees and guiding them through inductions

Hours of work - 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
