Job summary

Tate is seeking a temporary HR Administrator in Bristol to provide responsive HR resourcing support to hiring managers, employees and candidates. You will ensure policy alignment and deliver a professional service across the recruitment journey.

Responsibilities include advising managers on recruitment issues, coordinating interviews, and quality checking starter packs, references, and right-to-work documents. The role remains open until filled and backfilled as needed.

Job description

  • until 31/12/2026 currently Tate are working with a local authority in their search for a HR Administrator on a temporary basis to start as soon as possible.

To provide a responsive, accurate, customer focused and professional HR resourcing service to hiring managers, employees, candidates and other customers in accordance with policy and procedures.

Provide expert advice and support to hiring managers on all aspects of the recruitment and selection process, ensuring all guidance aligns with policy and best practice.

Support the provision of a positive hiring manager and candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment journey.

Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of specialised systems used within resourcing and wider HR. Provide support and guidance on job descriptions and person specifications, ensuring it clearly articulates the requirements of each role.

Arranging interviews and processing paperwork.

Responsible for quality checking all starter packs, references & right to work documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsible for quality checking all vacancy related information submitted by hiring managers, ensuring accuracy and compliance before advertising.

Skills/experience: Ability to advise managers on often complex issues Ability to deliver a highly professional and customer focused service to others.

Ability to manage time effectively, by organising and prioritising tasks to achieve deadlines.

Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Ability to quality monitor information and/or data to ensure accuracy, attention to detail and to maintain high professional standards.

Ability to work effectively within a pressurised environment.

Ability to work as part of a team and alone using own initiative to achieve positive outcomes for others.
