Job summary

The Talent World is seeking an HR Administrator in the South Manchester area to join a collaborative HR team. This permanent role offers a clear path to grow your HR career while taking ownership of day-to-day HR activities.

You’ll manage the HR inbox, provide admin support across the employee lifecycle, and assist with onboarding and offboarding. CIPD study is advantageous, with a strong emphasis on initiative and ownership.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, People Administrator or similar role.
  • Good understanding of core HR administration processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and organisation.
  • Confidence dealing with employees and managers.
  • A proactive, can-do approach.
  • Ability to use initiative and find answers independently.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and triaging the HR inbox, responding to queries and ensuring actions are followed through.
  • Providing day-to-day HR administration support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding activity.
  • Preparing HR letters and documentation.
  • Supporting managers and employees with general HR queries.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Working closely with the wider HR team on a range of HR activities.
  • Supporting additional projects and gaining exposure to areas such as employee relations, L&D and HR data.
  • Taking ownership of tasks and finding solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do.

Are you an experienced HR Administrator looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference, take ownership and build your HR career?

We're working with a growing, people-focused organisation to recruit an HR Administrator to join a supportive and collaborative HR team.

The role

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the HR function, acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers and taking ownership of the HR inbox.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

You’ll Ideally Have

CIPD study or qualification would be advantageous but is not essential. The organisation is committed to supporting the successful candidate's ongoing development, including CIPD where appropriate.

You’ll be joining a relatively small HR team, so personality and attitude are important. We're looking for someone approachable, consistent, positive and team-focused, with the confidence to communicate with people at all levels. Your proactive approach means you naturally get stuck in, asks the right questions, looks for solutions and can be trusted to get things done.
