Qualifications

• Firm grounding in junior level surgery.
• Evidence of achievement of foundation competencies.
• Experience of acute surgical take.
• Previous NHS experience.
• Experience in conducting and publishing research (Desirable).
• Experience in conducting audits (Desirable).
• Knowledge of GMC principles, NHS structures and current media issues.
• Desirable: HPB/General Surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Participation in clinical audit within the Unit.
• Opportunity to engage in clinical research.
• Active involvement in the training and supervision of Junior Medical Staff and medical students on ward rounds, in theatre and in clinics.
• To take part in the junior clinical fellow on-call rota for General Surgery.
