Job summary

Serco is hiring a Housing Officer for AASC Norwich to deliver essential housing and welfare services under the Home Office contract. The role covers property inspections, welfare support, and incident response within initial accommodation (IA). A valid UK driving licence is required, and duties span day and night shifts on a rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service environment with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge/experience of working in a property-related environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with Service Users.
• IT literate with MS Word, Excel, and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core Service User support services under the AASC contract.
• Induct new Service Users to IA and explain services, property standards, evacuation and complaints.
• Respond to requests via the AIRE Services and manage incidents.
• Provide timely reports on visits, inspections, repairs and incidents.
