Job summary

Serco is hiring a Housing Officer for AASC Nottinghamshire. This full‑time role (37.5 hours, Mon–Fri) requires a valid UK driving licence; a company car is provided.

Salary £29,250 per year plus Serco benefits, supporting asylum seekers with housing and welfare services under the AASC contract. You will manage property standards, complete monthly inspections, provide welfare signposting, respond to requests and incidents, and ensure safety and compliance across accommodation in line with Local

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a service environment with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge/experience of working within a property related environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• IT literate, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to manage conflict.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core Service User support services as prescribed under the contract.
• Provide inductions for all new Service Users to the IA, ensuring understanding of services, property standards, evacuation and complaints procedures.
• Respond to requests for assistance and support via the AIRE Services.
• Manage incidents raised by the AIRE Services.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on visits, inspections, repairs and incidents.
