Job summary

Hyde Group is seeking a Housing Team Leader to lead and support a frontline housing team, delivering a proactive, customer-focused service for our customers. This role involves guiding staff on complex housing matters and ensuring services meet performance targets and contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will drive continuous service improvement, manage tenancy changes, investigate complaints, and collaborate with external partners to meet resident needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support the team in handling complex housing matters and ensure targets are met.
• Investigate and resolve complaints about Housing and ASB services, liaising with Partners and external stakeholders.
• Maximise resident interactions by identifying wider issues and making appropriate referrals.
• Oversee tenancy changes (assignments, successions, exchanges) ensuring efficient handling per contractual requirements.

Housing Team Leader

Location : Brent

Salary : £40,400 to £45,000

Fixed Term Contract / Secondment until December 2028

Hyde is looking for a Housing Team Leader to lead and support a frontline housing team, helping to deliver a proactive, customer-focused service for our customers.

As a Housing Team Leader at Hyde, you will manage and develop a team, providing guidance on complex housing matters and ensuring services are delivered effectively, in line with performance targets, contractual requirements and customer expectations.

You will also drive the delivery of a comprehensive housing service that meets the needs and expectations of residents and stakeholders, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Key Duties

• Advise and support the team in handling complex housing matters, fostering a strong performance culture to meet targets and resolve enquiries at the first point of contact.
• Investigate and resolve complaints about Housing and ASB services, liaising with the Partners and external stakeholders when required.
• Maximise the value of resident interactions by encouraging the team to identify wider issues and make appropriate referrals to external agencies.
• Oversee tenancy changes, including assignments, successions, mutual exchanges and unauthorised occupation, ensuring they are handled efficiently and in line with contractual requirements and customer expectations.
