Job summary

Nacro is seeking a full‑time, permanent Housing Support Worker based in Chatham, Kent. The role covers Community Accommodation with Support, CAS‑2, and involves travel across an allocated area with a required driving license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities include assessing support needs, housing applications, tenancy sustainment, safeguarding and proactive collaboration with probation and housing providers. DBS checks are required and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a support or housing-related role.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults and individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Support Service Users: assess needs, create plans, assist with housing applications and rent payments.
• Property Management: ensure Decent Homes Standard and address maintenance issues.
• Collaboration: work with probation services, court staff, housing providers and agencies.
• Tenancy & Independence Support: help establish life skills and move‑on readiness.
• Risk & Safeguarding: identify concerns and document actions per policy.
• Record Keeping & Compliance: maintain accurate case records and support delivery.
