Job summary

BDS Recruitment is seeking a Housing Support Worker to cover the Wisbech, Cambridgeshire area. You will assist vulnerable tenants with housing applications, tenancies and job opportunities, ensuring regular review of support plans and risk assessments.

The role is 20 hours per week on a temporary ongoing basis. Mileage is paid and a car driver is required for travel between properties.

Qualifications

• Ability to support tenants with housing-related responsibilities and signposting.
• Ability to conduct basic risk assessments to identify tenancy risks.
• Strong communication and guiding skills to assist tenants with housing processes.

Responsibilities

• Complete a support plan for each tenant detailing all tenancy support elements.
• Work with tenants to understand and implement effective tenancy support strategies.
• Provide information and guidance to help tenants understand responsibilities and resources.

Job description

BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to work across the Wisbech, Cambridgeshire area.

You will be working with vulnerable people in helping them with support around housing applications, tenancies and job opportunities.

The duties include but are not limited too.

• To complete a support plan with each tenant detailing all elements of support required for their tenancy to be maintained – including any signposting required. This must be reviewed on a regular basis.
• To work alongside an individual in understanding how best to provide support through a thorough risk assessment process to highlight any risks to themselves, their tenancy, or others – this must be reviewed on a regular basis.
• To provide information, advice, and guidance to enable tenants to understand their responsibilities and support them to develop effective strategies to manage those responsibilities.

20 Hours per week temp ongoing

Payrate- £13.60ph PAYE- £17.19ph UMB

Mileage paid at 45ppm
