Job summary

Inspire North is seeking a Housing Support Worker in Scarborough to help individuals with complex needs secure housing and build independent futures. The role involves coordinating with landlords, utilities setup and benefits claims, and delivering tailored support visits.

You will work within the RACSS program, supporting service users to reduce reoffending risk and access education, training and employment opportunities. A driving licence and IT competency are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs to achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload, complete assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of housing, welfare benefits, homelessness, safeguarding and risk management.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, plus confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Help clients secure stable accommodation and set up utilities and benefits claims.
• Carry out support visits and work with partner agencies.
• Manage tenancy-related issues and support clients to sustain tenancies.
• Help clients access education, training, employment or community opportunities.
• Liaise with landlords and external services to coordinate support.
