Wiltshire Council is recruiting for a Housing Solutions specialist focused on Domestic Abuse cases. You will provide housing advice, assess needs for the Housing Register, and work with safeguarding agencies to support victims of homelessness.
You’ll join a team delivering trauma-informed, empathetic support, liaising with departments and partners, and helping customers secure refuge placements and longer-term housing options.

Our Housing Solutions team ensures customers are able to get housing advice and help if they’re homeless or threatened with homelessness. The aim is to help people in housing need find suitable and affordable housing.
This post is specialised in Domestic Abuse Cases where you will work alongside another specialist in supporting customers flee domestic abuse following Safeguarding assessments, DASH questionnaires, sourcing refuge placements and heavily working alongside other agencies around safeguarding and MARAC referrals.
In this crucial role, you will provide advice, work proactively to prevent or relieve homelessness, and assess housing needs for the council's Housing Register. You'll collaborate with various departments and agencies to fulfil our statutory responsibilities to homeless people and help others in housing need in our challenging housing market.
We are looking for someone who not only has knowledge of landlord & tenant, allocations and homelessness law, and safeguarding experience, but also someone who is empathetic, adaptable, customer focused and able to work in a trauma-informed way.
