Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils in Norwich are seeking a self-motivated Housing Officer to join our Housing and Benefits Team. You will support customers to access the housing register and find suitable solutions with empathy and confidence.

You will handle housing applications, assess banding, assist customers with online tools, and work collaboratively to provide housing advice for vulnerable customers.

Qualifications

• Experience helping vulnerable customers
• Ability to communicate effectively across a range of circumstances
• Knowledge of Part 6 housing legislation and social housing helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end assistance to customers with housing register applications
• Assess housing type and banding in line with Home Options policy
• Support customers accessing online tools for housing applications
• Work within the team to provide housing advice to customers
