Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a Home Ownership Coordinator to join our Home Ownership Team. You will be the first point of contact for leaseholders and shared owners, providing clear guidance and managing enquiries and cases.

The role covers Section 20 consultations, Right to Buy applications, leasehold and shared ownership queries, plus opportunities to resolve complex disputes and to work with contractors and colleagues on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy administrative or coordinator role.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise and manage multiple cases.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Customer-focused approach with proactive problem solving.
• Comfortable using IT and different systems to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for leaseholders, shared owners and stakeholders, managing enquiries and cases with clear guidance.
• Manage Section 20 consultations, issue notices, maintain records and monitor deadlines.
• Lead first stage of Right to Buy applications, check eligibility and progress within statutory timescales.
• Support leasehold and shared ownership services, including solicitors' enquiries, staircasing, extensions and post-completion processes.
• Investigate and help resolve complex leasehold and service charge disputes with lease records and costs review.
• Maintain accurate housing and property records and participate in meetings or site visits as needed.
