Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a proactive Housing Assistant to support the Housing Services team in Ardrossan. You will be the first point of contact for customers, help with housing applications, lettings and tenancy sign-ups, and maintain accurate records.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to deliver high-quality housing management services and drive positive customer outcomes. Excellent communication and admin skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for housing enquiries, providing advice, guidance and support to customers.
• Support housing applications, allocations, lettings and tenancy sign-ups.
• Maintain accurate tenancy, applicant and housing management records.
• Assist with tenancy management activities, including estate management and tenancy visits.
• Support rent account management, payment arrangements and former tenant debt recovery.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and tenancy-related documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues, external agencies and partner organisations.
• Assist with customer engagement and community involvement initiatives.
• Contribute to performance monitoring, compliance requirements and continuous improvement projects.
