Wychavon District Council is recruiting a Crisis Prevention Officer to join the Housing Services team. The role focuses on homeless prevention, working with residents, private landlords and partner agencies to help households stay in their homes through mediation and financial support.

You will provide financial and housing advice, design hardship fund eligibility, deliver money management training, and report outcomes to Senior Managers.

Formación

• Experience in delivering financial support.
• Housing or welfare qualification.
• Ability to handle a complex caseload with homelessness/financial crisis focus.
• Ability to maximise household incomes and reduce poverty.
• Knowledge of the welfare benefits system, including Universal Credit.
• Experience helping residents facing financial hardship.
• Design eligibility for hardship funding.
• Deliver financial capability training and money management.
• Report outcomes quarterly and prepare case studies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide financial and housing advice to residents and signpost where needed.
• Work with residents, Housing Options and Private Sector Housing teams and partner organisations.
• Deliver training courses and briefing sessions on money management.
• Support residents to prevent homelessness through mediation and advice.
• Prepare quarterly outcome reports and case studies for Senior Managers.
