Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd seeks an experienced Repairs Officer to join the Housing Repairs and Compliance team. You will manage responsive repairs, voids, and planned maintenance while ensuring compliance with Awaab's Law, the Decent Homes Standard, and fire safety requirements.

You will support safeguarding and interact with residents and internal teams. The role requires strong repair and disrepair casework knowledge, a resident-focused approach, and the ability to work across multiple housing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in repairs/disrepair/voids within housing sector.
• Strong knowledge of Decent Homes, Awaab's Law, damp and mould regulations, and fire safety.
• Experience managing disrepair cases and complaint/claims processes.
• Proficient in housing management systems (Orchard, Genero, SDM, NEC, Northgate, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of responsive repairs, voids, and planned maintenance to timescales and quality standards.
• Handle disrepair cases and complaints in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, Decent Homes, damp and mould policy, fire safety, and health & safety obligations.
• Conduct property inspections, void checks, and diagnostics to identify works required.
• Liaise with contractors, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard.
• Maintain records on housing management systems.
• Work with tenancy, neighbourhood, and estate management colleagues to resolve safety issues.
• Support safeguarding and respond to vulnerable residents' needs.
• Represent the service at resident meetings and governance processes.
