Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage mixed tenure housing schemes across the south west. Based in the Devon office, you will visit sites regularly and take full commercial control of projects.

You will have a strong housing background, solid experience in measurement, valuation and final accounts, and be capable of managing sub-contractor procurement with COINS knowledge. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• A strong housing background, either developer side or contracting
• Volume experience would be desirable
• COINS experience desirable but not essential
• Excellent IT skills
• Team player but able to work independently
• Strong commercial awareness
• Detailed and thorough approach to work
• Analytical reporting skills
• Excellent communication and well organised, able to prioritise work

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial control of your own projects with timely and accurate reporting
• Manage cost control procedures and cash flow forecasts
• Complete sub-contractor administration and procurement
• Identify and manage risks on developments
• Maintain measurement, valuation and final accounts processes
• Liaise with clients and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
