Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join a respected regional contractor delivering projects across the South West and Midlands. You will take ownership of commercial aspects on allocated schemes and work closely with the project team.

The role focuses on cost reporting, forecasts, cash flow management, and final accounts, with opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships.
• Good understanding of cost reporting, forecasting and financial control.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial management of allocated construction projects.
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Prepare and maintain accurate CVRs, cost reports and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring robust orders are placed in a timely manner.
• Review subcontractor applications, payments and final accounts.
