Job summary

North Norfolk District Council is seeking an experienced Housing Pathways Team Leader to steer the operational delivery of homelessness and housing services, ensuring statutory duties are met and residents receive a high‑quality, compassionate service.

You will lead the Housing Pathways Team, manage temporary accommodation and the housing register, collaborate with landlords and partners, drive performance, and shape pathways that help people secure settled, safe housing through changing times.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading and managing housing or homelessness services.
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and statutory duties.
• Experience of managing performance, budgets and service improvement.
• Excellent partnership‑working and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to make sound decisions in a demanding and changing environment.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of key housing services and ensure statutory homelessness responsibilities are met.
• Manage the Housing Pathways Team and oversee homelessness accommodation pathways, temporary accommodation services and housing register functions.
• Develop and strengthen accommodation pathways with landlords and housing providers.
• Drive service performance, continuous improvement and efficient use of resources.
• Ensure temporary accommodation is safe, compliant and delivers positive outcomes for residents.
