You will work with the Social Housing Assessment and Lettings team to monitor bidding activity, refer clients to employment and training services, and assist with welfare entitlement issues as they relate to housing stability.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing services or welfare reform guidance is desirable.
• Ability to visit households in temporary accommodation and provide clear housing option advice.

Responsibilities

• Visit households in temporary accommodation to advise on housing options and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with the Social Housing Assessment and Lettings team to monitor bidding activity and support households.
• Signpost or refer households to employment, training, and other services as needed.
• Provide advice on welfare entitlements and employment opportunities affecting housing options.
• Ensure tenancy/licence compliance and take action where serious breaches occur to recover accommodation.
• Investigate licence refusals, appeals, and legal representations to meet statutory duties.
• Investigate domestic violence cases and manage associated safety risks.
• Promote efficient use of the temporary accommodation budget and support move-on strategies.
• Identify suspected fraud and coordinate with the Resolutions Team Leader on appropriate action.
