BCHA is a forward-thinking not-for-profit housing and support organisation. We are recruiting a Housing Officer to manage a patch of properties, delivering a high-quality, person-centred service to sustain tenancies and help customers thrive in their communities.

You will build strong relationships, support financial wellbeing, manage rent arrears and ASB, and handle tenancy matters from sign-ups to evictions.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in housing management or frontline housing support.
• Strong understanding of housing legislation and regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to manage rent arrears and tenancy issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strengths-based approach.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in the community.

Aufgaben

• Proactively manage a patch of BCHA properties, supporting customers to sustain tenancies in line with legislation and policies.
• Be visible and approachable, build relationships, identify support needs, and help customers achieve positive outcomes.
• Maximise rental income by managing arrears effectively and promoting a rent-first culture.
• Support customers with financial wellbeing, including payment plans and access to financial inclusion services.
• Manage tenancy matters including sign-ups, assignments, notices, court work, and evictions.
• Respond to and deter anti-social behaviour using available legal tools and collaborate with agencies.
• Oversee voids and tenancy terminations, manage referrals and KPI targets.
• Carry out regular estate inspections prioritising health and safety and safe environments.
• Deliver Intensive Housing Management service, supporting customers with bidding and personal housing plans.
