Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Housing Officer for the AASC Oldham and Tameside contract. The role is full-time (37.5 hours), Monday to Friday, with a salary of £29,250 and a company car on a valid UK driving licence.

You will support Service Users, conduct property inspections, and provide welfare signposting within IA accommodation. Responsibilities include inductions, incident response, monthly inspections, and maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience of working in a service environment with good communication skills.
• Knowledge/experience of working within a property-related environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• IT-literate with knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage conflict and maintain organisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core Service User support under the AASC contract.
• Provide inductions to new Service Users and explain services and procedures.
• Respond to requests and manage incidents reported via AIRE Services.
• Complete monthly IA inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure safety and safeguarding of Service Users and maintain daily logs.
