Job summary

Serco is recruiting a Housing Officer for the AASC Coventry contract on a full-time basis. The role involves delivering welfare support, ensuring property standards, and conducting monthly inspections across IA accommodation.

You will manage day-to-day IA operations, respond to requests and incidents, and provide signposting to Service Users, with a 40-hour week on a rota including nights and weekends. Salary is £29,250 per annum, plus Serco benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a service environment.
• Knowledge/experience of working within a property related environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• IT literate (Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage conflict.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core Service User support services as prescribed under the contract.
• Induct new Service Users to the IA, explaining services, property standards, safety and complaints procedure.
• Respond to requests for assistance via the AIRE Services.
• Manage incidents raised by the AIRE Services.
• Provide accurate reporting on visits, inspections, repairs and incidents.
• Complete monthly IA inspections and highlight maintenance needs.
• Maintain property standards and compliance with contractual commitments.
• Ensure safety of Service Users following safeguarding policies.
• Assist with day-to-day IA operations (reception, registers, post).
• Ensure the building is safe with CCTV, fire alarm tests, evacuations and emergency contacts.
