Job Title:
Housing Officer

Job Location:
Brindley Place, Birmingham - with travel across the Midlands and other regions

Salary:
£33,400 (+ £750 Car Allowance) per annum

Contract type:
Permanent

Working hours:
37 hours per week, Full Time

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent basis. This role covers areas in the West Midlands including Redditch, Coventry, Solihull, and Stratford Upon Avon.

The Housing Officer will support GreenSquareAccord's aim of valuing our customers by meeting housing and related needs across a cross-tenure patch.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver a high-quality housing management service, focusing on customer satisfaction and value for money.

Responsibilities include managing complex tenancy issues such as property condition and anti-social behaviour cases, as well as estate issues including health & safety concerns.

The role requires working independently in challenging situations, adapting to changing priorities, and adding value in all activities.

You will provide information to help customers manage and sustain their tenancies and may support the Regional Locality Manager at Locality Board meetings, in line with our Locality Model.

About you

Candidates should have a good general or technical education beyond GCSEs, such as 2 or more A-Levels, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent skills in vocabulary, verbal reasoning, and numeracy.

A housing or related qualification is beneficial.

You should have knowledge and experience of housing and tenancy law, including succession, mutual exchange, assignments, and ending tenancies, as well as experience in tenancy or leasehold management and enforcement.

A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, along with strong administrative and organizational skills, is essential.

A full UK driving licence is required.

Candidates must be able to provide evidence of necessary certificates and qualifications before employment commencement.
