Job summary

South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) seeks an experienced planning professional to lead the development and delivery of strategic planning policies and the new Spatial Development Strategy for South Yorkshire. Working with the Head of Planning you will provide leadership and manage the Planning Team to deliver high-quality policy.

You will engage with key stakeholders, oversee multi-stakeholder engagement, and guide the Strategy through independent examination while ensuring

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification and evidence of continuing professional development or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Status as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
• Experience in developing planning strategies and policy.
