Job summary

Single Homeless Project in Redbridge seeks a Specialist Housing First Worker to provide intensive, personalised support helping clients secure and maintain housing. You will navigate housing, health and benefits, building strong partnerships to advocate on the person’s behalf.

The role requires compassionate, patient practitioners who can engage through trauma, instability and complex needs, while upholding safeguarding principles and person-led care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people facing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• Understanding of Housing First principles and person-led support.
• Ability to assess and manage risk with safeguarding at the core.
• Strong advocacy and ability to collaborate with housing providers and services.
• Persistent, creative, and solution-focused in complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, personalised housing support to help people obtain and sustain housing.
• Coordinate across housing, health, benefits and safeguarding services.
• Advocate for clients to ensure access to necessary systems and supports.
• Build trusting relationships and adapt approaches when faced with barriers.
