Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is currently recruiting a Customer Services Officer to join a housing organisation on a temporary basis until the end of March 2027. The role provides frontline support to tenants, residents and applicants, handling a range of repairs and maintenance enquiries.

You will manage high-volume interactions, log and triage repairs, arrange appointments with contractors, provide housing information and signposting, and escalate safeguarding or health & safety issues as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, ideally within housing association or local authority.
• Experience of repairs triage is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
• Log and triage repairs, identifying emergency, urgent and routine issues.
• Arrange appointments and liaise with contractors and internal teams.
• Provide housing information, advice and signposting.
• Identify and escalate safeguarding, health & safety and emergency issues.
• Support reception and general administrative duties.
