Job description

The purpose of the role is to support the Assistant Director of Housing with any administrative duties required within the organisation. What you'll be doing

  • Prepare paperwork and forms required for Housing management letters, mail merges
  • Triage and delegate case work coming into the service.
  • Telephone residents making appointments on behalf of Housing Officers
  • Support the service with diary entry.
  • Complete recording, and scanning, of information onto relevant systems.
  • Prepare, and complete, performance and compliance reports, as required.
  • Monitor, record, and provide updates on workloads within the directorate.
  • Liaise with other departments and teams within the company.
  • Carry out investigation into reports and pass information onto relevant Officer's on behalf of Assistant Director of Housing.
  • Ensure full and accurate records are maintained.
  • Utilise the company purchase ordering system by raising relevant orders as requested by the Assistant Director of Housing.

Experience & Knowledge
  • Experience of providing administrative support within a housing, local authority, public sector, or similar customer‑focused environment
  • Experience of handling and prioritising casework or enquiries in a busy service
  • Experience of communicating with residents or customers by telephone and in writing
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records and managing confidential information
  • Understanding of the importance of data protection and confidentiality

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to triage, allocate, and track work effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications (Desirable)
