Job summary

Exeter City Council is seeking an Allocations Officer to support the Devon Home Choice housing allocations process. You will assess housing applications, determine priority in line with legislation, and provide housing options advice to applicants and carers, including vulnerable households.

Working within the Early Intervention and Prevention Team on a 12-month maternity cover, you will collaborate with partner agencies to ensure fair, timely allocations and maintain high standards of customer

Qualifications

• Strong decision-making skills and customer-focused approach.
• Experience in busy frontline service and managing a varied caseload.
• Good IT systems and databases literacy; able to interpret policy.
