Hull City Council is seeking a Housing Allocations Officer to deliver a high-quality, empathetic housing allocations service. You will advertise, allocate and let council homes, determine eligibility, conduct interviews and viewings, and manage offers and refusals in line with policy.

The role supports sustainable tenancies and links with tenancy support and benefit maximisation. The post requires professional maintenance of records, collaboration across teams, and participation in multi-agency

Responsabilidades

• Provides a professional, empathetic and high-quality service to customers seeking advice and assistance via in-person, phone, written or IT systems.
• Allocates and lets available council properties, conducts interviews, checks and accompanied viewings, making offers and handling refusals in line with policy.
• Produces accurate property advertisements with sufficient photos to aid bids and minimise refusals.
• Ensures tenancies are sustainable by identifying issues and linking to tenancy support and benefit maximisation.
• Maintains knowledge of legislation and policies to support complex decision making within the Allocations Team.
• Administers workload, records information on systems, and feeds statistics into performance management.
• Collaborates with teams to prioritise caseload and meet service targets.
• Coordinates with Housing Investment Team to relet properties quickly and minimise rent loss.
• Attends case conferences and represents the team at multi-agency meetings.
