Gretna Green Ltd is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to join our welcoming hotel team in Gretna Green. You will lead by example, coordinate daily priorities with the housekeeping team, and ensure bedrooms and public areas are impeccably presented for guests.

In this hands-on role you’ll check standards, train colleagues, and collaborate with Reception and Maintenance to keep rooms ready on time. A proactive, guest-focused approach is essential.

Formación

• Previous housekeeping experience required
• Understanding of hotel cleaning and presentation standards
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to maintain high standards
• Clear communication and organisational skills
• Ability to use basic IT and digital systems
• Ability to prioritise in a busy hotel environment
• Willingness to guide and support others

Responsabilidades

• Leading by example and working alongside the housekeeping team
• Supporting daily briefings and allocating work
• Checking standards across bedrooms, public and back‑of‑house areas
• Guiding, supporting and training colleagues and new starters
• Making sure rooms are ready for guests on time
• Handling routine guest requests and escalating concerns appropriately
• Working with Reception and Maintenance on room priorities and repairs
• Supporting room status updates, lost property and stock checks
• Helping manage linen and cleaning supplies
• Promoting safe use of cleaning products, equipment and PPE
