Job summary

Millennium Hotels UK is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team. You will lead Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across the hotel.

The role involves inspections, assigning daily tasks, and coordinating with Front Office to ensure timely guest room availability. You will train and coach staff, enforce health and safety and cleanliness standards, monitor stock levels, and assist with rota

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a housekeeping team.
• Strong customer service and guest relations skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety protocols in hospitality.
• Experience coordinating room attendants and public areas.
• Ability to train and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants to maintain highest cleanliness and presentation.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas for brand standards.
• Plan and allocate daily assignments; monitor productivity to hit targets.
• Coordinate room status updates with Front Office for timely availability.
• Assist with training, coaching and development of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and cleaning standards.
• Monitor stock levels of supplies; report shortages as needed.
• Support rota planning and daily departmental administration.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping concerns promptly.
• Follow lost property procedures and maintain records.
• Promote a positive, collaborative department culture.
• Assist with deep cleaning programmes and special projects.
• Undertake other duties as requested by Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper.

We are currently looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team.

Key responsibility:

• Supervise and support Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas to ensure they meet brand and company standards.
• Allocate daily assignments and monitor productivity to ensure departmental targets are achieved.
• Coordinate room status updates with the Front Office team to ensure timely availability of guest rooms.
• Assist with the training, coaching, and development of housekeeping team members.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, company policies, and cleaning standards.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, reporting shortages as required.
• Support the Housekeeping Management team with rota planning, attendance monitoring, and daily departmental administration.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure that lost property procedures are followed and records are accurately maintained.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment within the department.
• Assist with deep cleaning programmes and special cleaning projects as required.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper.
