Job DescriptionWe are seeking a meticulous and service-oriented Housekeeping Porter to join our exceptional housekeeping team at Sofitel London St James. As a Housekeeping Porter, you will be maintaining our exacting standards of cleanliness and ensuring our guests' satisfaction. Your attention to detail will contribute significantly to the creation of lasting memories for our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities
Help keep guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas clean and tidy.
Deliver items like towels, toiletries, and bedding to guest rooms when requested.
Collect dirty linens and take them to the laundry; restock clean items where needed.
Empty rubbish bins and replace liners to keep areas fresh and clean.
Report any broken or damaged items in rooms or public spaces.
Handle lost and found items properly, following hotel procedures.
Make sure housekeeping trolleys are fully stocked with supplies and organised.
Follow all safety, hygiene, and security rules to keep everyone safe.
Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a fast-paced, hands-on role.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Good understanding of cleaning procedures and products.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
