Job summary

Belong Birkdale is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to support the Head Housekeeper and Front of House Manager in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort and presentation across the village. You will help create a home-from-home atmosphere for residents, families and visitors.

You will carry out cleaning, laundry and domestic duties, work flexibly including weekends and evenings, and contribute to a welcoming, safe environment with a positive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning & Building Interiors or equivalent is desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment is beneficial.
• Ability to follow Health & Safety guidance and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver housekeeping and domestic services to Belong's standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort across the village.
• Support residents with domestic needs within their households.
• Carry out cleaning and laundry duties using appropriate equipment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and keep records when required.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and work as part of the team.

Location: Belong Birkdale

Salary: £13.45 per hour

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will support the Head Housekeeper and Front of House Manager in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, comfort and presentation throughout the village, ensuring residents, families and visitors enjoy a welcoming and safe environment. You will play an important role in supporting residents within their households and helping to create a home-from-home atmosphere across Belong Birkdale.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver housekeeping and domestic services in line with Belong's values and standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort throughout the village.
• Support residents with their individual domestic needs within their household accommodation.
• Carry out cleaning and laundry duties using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Respond promptly to requests for housekeeping assistance.
• Complete written records accurately when required.
• Follow Health & Safety guidance and product safety procedures.
• Work independently and as part of the wider team to ensure excellent service delivery.

Skills & Experience

• Previous commercial or domestic cleaning experience is desirable.
• NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning & Building Interiors (or equivalent) desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment would be beneficial.
