Job summary

Oakbank Care Home in Crieff is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and to support laundry services.

You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard, assist with laundry duties, follow infection control procedures, and work as part of a caring team.

This contract offers 20 hours per week with pay at £12.71 per hour, plus PVG paid, pension and uniform, and 5.6 weeks' annual leave based on a full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience welcomed but not essential.

Oakbank Care Home is a well established care home in Crieff, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative and Respite care for up to 70 residents. With a strong, supportive team and a focus on high standards of care, the home offers a positive working environment where staff feel valued and supported in their roles.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71per hour
• Contracted to 20 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
