Job summary

Osprey Court Care Home in Pitcrocknie Village near Alyth, Perth and Kinross, is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant. You will maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment, support laundry tasks, and help ensure residents' comfort and dignity.

The role is hands-on, requires attention to detail and ability to work to high hygiene standards. The contract offers 12–30 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, PVG paid, pension and uniform, and 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full-time contract.

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation
• Support laundry duties: washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing, with correct labelling
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures
• Contribute to a well organised, comfortable environment for residents and provide respectful support

Osprey Court Care Home is a purpose built 60 bed care home located in Pitcrocknie Village, adjacent to the town of Alyth in Perth and Kinross. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care, the home offers a modern, high quality environment where team members can build strong relationships, develop their skills and make a meaningful difference as part of a supportive and welcoming team.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted 12-30 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
