The Old Vicarage Care Home in Clay Cross, Chesterfield, is seeking a friendly Housekeeping Assistant to join our caring team. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, support laundry services and help residents with daily comfort and wellbeing.
Responsibilities include cleaning residents' rooms and communal areas, handling laundry tasks, and following infection control procedures to ensure high hygiene standards in a supportive care setting.

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
