Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant at Greenholme House Care Home in Burley in Wharfedale. You will join a caring team, supporting residents with cleanliness and laundry to high standards.

The role requires following SOPs, maintaining hotel-style cleanliness, and delivering dignity and respect to residents. DBS check will be funded by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping for residents.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry to hotel service standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements for different surfaces and coverings; keep areas well presented.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect and protect their personal space and belongings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
