Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Abbey Court Care Home in Heath Hayes, Cannock. The role focuses on cleaning and laundry, following SOPs to maintain high hotel service standards for residents.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of health and safety, experience in public-setting cleaning, and a compassionate approach. ADDS disclosure checks are funded by Avery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in the home.
• Carry out cleaning duties and laundry tasks according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and that their personal space is respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.Other responsibilitieswillinclude:Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..
