Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley, Staffordshire. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards, following standard operating procedures and hotel-like service levels.

The role requires caring, compassionate conduct, and flexibility to cover various duties at short notice. DBS disclosure will be processed and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and ensure areas are well presented and maintained.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and personal space is respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
