Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is hiring a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for South Lodge Care Home in Leicester. You will join a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home, supporting residents and colleagues.

You will follow standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, delivering a hotel-like service and ensuring all spaces look welcoming. The role requires a practical, compassionate approach with a commitment to safety and respect for residents'

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting with a caring approach to residents.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible to cover a range of duties on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and maintain areas to a high standard.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and their personal space respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

• Other responsibilitieswillinclude:Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..
