Job summary

Harrier Grange Care Home in Hampshire is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a full-time basis to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. The role includes cleaning rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, as well as assisting with laundry services and ensuring all items are clearly labelled.

You will follow infection control and health and safety procedures, contributing to high standards of hygiene and presentation while working with the wider team to support residents’

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organised
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control principles would be beneficial
• Previous housekeeping experience is welcomed but not essential

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation

Our private care facility in Hampshire offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care, providing an enriched and fulfilling lifestyle for up to 66-residents in a warm and supportive environment.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
