Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Housekeeper for Hatton ward, a busy surgical admission area. You will manage stock and stationery, maintain a clean ward, and support nursing staff.

You may also assist with telephones during rounds and admin tasks in Lorenzo, contributing to a safe and comfortable patient environment. The role supports a dedicated ward team within an Outstanding Trust, with the opportunity to contribute to high-quality care and efficient ward operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to follow infection control and cleaning standards.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Order and manage stock and stationery for the ward.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable ward environment.
• Support nursing staff and answer the ward telephone during rounds.
• Perform admin duties relating to Lorenzo as required and assist with ward duties during shifts.

Job description

Hatton ward is a busy surgical admission ward with patients from Urology, General surgery and ENT.
We are a friendly team and the Housekeeper is an important role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering and managing stock and Stationary and maintain a clean working environment
There is a requirement to support with answering the ward telephone during ward rounds, use Integra for ordering, and maintain compliance: for example oxygen and suction checking, PAT test dates , commode leaning and maintaining a clean ward.
Hatton ward is audited for cleaning, nursing and estates Issue which the Housekeeper is involved in resolving the issues raised.
There is also some admin duties involving Lorenzo.
To support nursing staff in the delivery and co-ordination of patient requirements. The post holder will work part of the ward team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment for the patient.
