Job summary

The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Ward Housekeeper to join the Children's Assessment Unit in Stoke-on-Trent. The post focuses on maintaining a clean, safe ward environment and supporting the ward team under the supervision of the Senior Sister/Sister.

The role involves coordinating all patient facilities and services, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment for parents and children, and contributing to the overall ward operations.

• Ensuring the delivery of cleaning, stocking up monitoring of top up services, together with other specified tasks to meet individual ward demands as determined by the Senior Sister/Sister.
• Monitor quality standards, reporting deficiencies and recommending appropriate changes.

Job description

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the environment meets the needs and expectations of parents, children, visitors and the Ward/Unit. The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities and services in the area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
