Job summary

Storal's Children 1st Shepshed Nursery School in Shepshed is seeking a part-time Housekeeper/Cleaner. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5pm to 8pm, at 55 Forest Street, Shepshed, LE12 9BZ. Salary is £12.71 per hour.

You will follow cleaning schedules, manage materials, and work with educators to maintain safety and standards, with benefits supporting wellbeing and family needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Enthusiasm and high standards of cleanliness.
• An excellent understanding of basic hygiene and cleanliness.
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and site security.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the nursery setting.
• Follow the cleaning schedule and manage materials and supplies.
• Work with educators to report and resolve issues quickly and safely.

What you'll be doing

As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, you will maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the nursery setting. Following the cleaning schedule, you will ensure all areas are kept clean,tidy, safe and well cared for. Your role will involve managing cleaning materials and supplies, in line with health and safety guidelines, following the latest child protection and health and safety legislation. You will work closely with the educator team to ensure any issues impacting daily operations are reported and dealt withquickly, effectively and safely.
