Hello, I’m Kadie, the Nursery Manager at Hathern.
Together with my team, we feel privileged to be part of the children’s early years journey, providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Our home-from-home spaces are thoughtfully filled with natural resources, creating the perfect setting for children to explore, discover, and grow.
We’re also proud of our strong connection with our sister nursery in Shepshed, which fosters shared learning opportunities and close community ties—enriching the experience for both children and families.
Impact Lives, with a Schedule That Works for You
To give children healthy foundations in fantastic settings, helping them build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!
Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn’t stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
Ideally hold a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.
You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
(We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, so if you can demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm for working within this environment, submit an application. Nothing ventured nothing gained)
Storal sets the highest of standards when it coming to safeguarding, the welfare of children and creating a work environment that encourages feedback-discussion-resilience.
