Job summary

Glebe Farm Nursery School in Lincoln is seeking a part-time Housekeeper/Cleaner to uphold high cleanliness throughout the nursery and support a safe, healthy learning environment. The role runs Monday to Friday, 5pm–7pm, 10 hours per week, at £12.71 per hour.

You will work with staff to follow cleaning schedules, manage materials, and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines in a nurturing, home-from-home setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Enthusiasm and high standards of cleanliness.
• An excellent understanding of basic hygiene and cleanliness.
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and site security.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the nursery.

What you'll be doing

As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, you will maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the nursery setting. Following the cleaning schedule, you will ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy, safe and well cared for. Your role will involve managing cleaning materials and supplies, in line with health and safety guidelines, following the latest child protection and health and safety legislation.

You will work closely with the educator team to ensure any issues impacting daily operations are reported and dealt withquickly, effectively and safely.
