Job summary

Retirement Villages Group is seeking a Housekeeper for Gradwell Park Retirement Village in South Chailey, England. This is a bank position on a zero hour contract to cover sickness and holidays, delivering high standards of cleanliness and friendly service to residents.

You will clean residents' homes and communal areas, launder linens, and assist with light maintenance while prioritising safety and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanour.
• Sensitivity to the needs and preferences of older adults.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning tasks in residents' apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Launder residents' linens and clothing with care and attention to detail.
• Keep communal areas such as lounges, dining areas, and hallways clean and presentable.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the village.
